here is an inexpensive alternative to saddle bag liners... I used my military flight helmet bag with a few patches, they fit well and keep everything together... also kind of fitting since most of these bikes seem to be named after WWII fighter aircraft. these bags cost about 25.00 to 30.00 if you find a good outlet. there are two sizes that after market companies are making them in..the best ones are the original issue size. I bought mine through Barre Army Navy Store at www.vtarmynavy.com or info@vtarmynavy.com

they have two deep external pockets on the outside (back side) for gloves or charts and an internal pocket as well. the bags are slightly padded. they work great!

..always loved going to those Army Navy surplus stores when they were all over(from the 60's on till they disappeared).I know that there are some still around....they'd be taking more of my moola.Always had great "stuff" there and reasonably priced.too.Thanks for the heads up.LT
