So in finding the S2 or S3 gages not useable for my X1 I will fit the X1 parts in their respective places. My question is for the circle to the right with the thunderbolt plate in it , I am thinking oil pressure or voltage meter gage . Did Buell ever make a mechanical oil pressure gage with a white face ? |

Not that I ever saw. VDO or Stewart-Warner may be the route to take. |

On the S2 and early S3 dash, that location was a nothing...a spot for the Thunderbolt badge. There isn't enough room to fit a gauge of any kind, unless you move the electrical connector behind it. It was a PITA on my S2 but the previous owner had already added a clock to that location and it was black-faced. It was also rubbing the wires and bending them sharply at the big connector behind it. I needed something to fill the void until I could find a replacement dash and emblem so I bought this Auto Meter white-faced clock. The red isn't exact but, close enough that nobody has noticed unless I pointed it out.

Very nice I like that as well. There are some 2" oil pressure gages I saw , not sure what option I will take but I don't want the Thunderbolt emblem there on my X1. |

If your dash has the emblem just peel it off and you'll have a solid dash. Peel carefully, I bet someone here would like to have it... |

Yup. A piece of dental floss does a great job of cutting through the adhesive and separating the emblem without damage. It took me forever to find a replacement S2 badge. |
