My X1 starts fine, runs strong when accelerating. It seems to slightly surge when driving at a steady freeway speed, and acts like it is loading up when just driving around town. When I come to a stop it will back fire through the intake, not always just once in a while. The injectors were cleaned 5k ago, I replaced the engine temp and ATI sensor. I have a force wind intake system.
Any suggestions?

Checked the intake seals? Exhaust leaks?

Air filter clean? How's the fuel filter?

Start with the easy to check stuff. Mine was doing similar things, turned out I had a bad intake seal and a bad set of exhaust gaskets. The intakes dry up over the years and will play all hell with your tune.

Intake seals are new and no exhaust leaks.
I'll check the fuel filter.

SO, I checked the trouble codes VIA a cable link. It flashed 13 Oxy sensor. I looked and found a big crack in my header almost all the way around the oxy sensor! I used some space tape to seal it up and am going to change the oxy sensor and try it out. I will let you know. it is the same as a ford 302 oxy sensor right?

I removed the header and muffler, Buell does not have a very good header mounting system? It looks like a failure waiting to happen.....
I'll order new exhaust gaskets, weld the crack in the header and replace the oxy sensor.
