What performance advantage is there to an open primary? I can only guess but is the windage from being half submerged in oil that taxing on the motor?

No advantage really. It is just cool. In racing applications it makes changing plates much simpler. Also you have much less dirtying up the fluid but on these motors in street use not many are slipping the clutch anyway. There is a very slight weight savings. Deciding factor is really just because it can be done and I like it. Cost is about $3300. Of course that is not taking labor into account. I have always wanted to do this and this one looks great and keeps stock clutch cable and shifter location.

are you sure its for road use?
i thought the gear box could not be sealed separate from the primary?it could be just for drag racing only, with the transmission lightly greased before a meeting,
it do,s look good though.

FT:
I would assume that a fitting could be added
to the top and bottom of the cases for fill and drain

Found this little gem online:

Gives you the look of an open primary without actually changing anything.
