I have a jingle. One of my rear foot pegs has loosened off....how do u tighten it up? Not sure how to hold the back side to torque on it? Hard to get a look at.

Thanks

Ummm, could you be a bit more specific? Year, model?
My 00 M2 rear pegs have a 3/8 allen head bolt with 9/16 nut, right out in front of God and everyone else, the tabs the bolt runs through are welded on the subframe...

If its your X1, there is a nut and bolt through the mount. You can tighten it to squeeze the frame onto the peg, stopping the rattle...or you can get a wave washer, which I believe is factory on them anyway.

If you think of it as a stack, from one side, you have:

Bolt head
Frame tab
Footpeg itself
Wave washer
Other frame tab
Nylock nut on bolt

Sorry. Guess it was kinda vague. Its a 00 X1. Its the peg mount that is loose. I can turn the the left rear peg around completely. Its the mount to the frame not the actual peg that is loose. I used a mirror to try and see what is backing the bolt/stud but it just looks like a round flat nut and I can't thing of a way of keeping it stationary to tighten the peg? Front pegs are just bolted from the backside but the rear seems to have a nut of some sort?

Hope this makes it clearer

If you're talking about where the wishbone bracket mounts to the frame the frame plates are investment cast and the back side of the top hole has a six point recess to match the nut(1/2"), no need for a wrench.

The bottom mount hole is threaded.

If you mean the peg yoke to the wishbone its a flat head socket cap screw that takes a 5/16" hex key.
