As I was riding my S2T the other day, I paused a moment when the light turned green (in case of a red light runner) and a guy on a bicycle (with the spandex and pointy helmet) ran the light! He did it 3 seconds into the green. I declined to fulfill his Darwin moment, someone else will have to do it.

In London, many years ago, I T-Boned a cyclist who ran a red light. I was on a VFR750, he was (Subsequently) in an ambulance. I had scratches on the front bodywork & no other damage. I didn't even drop the bike. He flew about 30 feet and landed on his ass. I checked in on him @ the hospital. No broken bones but he looked like raw liver all down one side of his body. All I can say is that we were both lucky that no one was seriously hurt and that you should always be cautious at lights, junctions etc'.
