Which axles are compatible with my 2001 X1? Any of the XB series? I'm assuming (you know what they say about people who assume) the tube frame models all use the same rear axle. is this correct? |

No. The steel swingarmed ones are a little longer but will work. You can get an axle off Ebay pretty cheap. (Message edited by jim_d on September 08, 2010) |

My apologies, but I don't quite understand your post. Are you saying the XB series axles are not compatible, or are you not referring to them at all and only talking about the steel swingarmed ones? |

I have one on order from Harley, but I wanted to try and find one local, or from a guy that would be willing to ship it quickly. So far, I have only come across a rear axle for an XB series bike. (not sure of year) |

shot you a PM, I've got one from an S3 (steel swing arm, so the one that's a bit longer) that I'll let go for cheap and can have it in the mail yet today. Alex |
