Performance review for Dillon brothers Harley Davidson in Omaha Nebraska

Poor service, at best. I made my appointment over 3 weeks ago, and they informed me it would be a week before they could get it in to the shop and look at it, i thought this was fair they must be busy, so i weighted and the day before the appointment they picked up my bike to have the carbs re-jetted and fix a few other problems i figured should be looked at since it was in, a week goes by and i call for an update to be informed they haven't even looked at it yet. 5 more days go by and i call for an update, and they tell me there is NO information available on the bike yet. after i tell them that I had an appointment that was over a week ago they simply say did you get it to us then or did you have an appointment. i did in fact have an appointment, and when i called to have them pick up the bike they confirmed the appointment. 2 weeks have gone by and i call again to be told they haven't looked at it yet and it might be going on the lift today, there excuse is that they are busy, if they are so busy they need to get more employees to meet there commitments. if they are so busy they shouldn't be making commitments they cant keep. If i went to work and didn't start a project till 2 weeks after i was suppose to start i would be fired. I have no problem knowing my limits and paying for someone to do something i can not do, i do not have the know how, space or tools to do this, but i do have a problem paying for service when i am not receiving any. I would NOT recommend this place and i will be looking for a new shop to take my business to for now on

I hope you have good luck finding another competent shop. Hopefully someone on here that lives in or near Omaha can provide you with the name of one.

I know that you said that you don't have the know how, but these bikes are pretty simple to work on. Simple hand tools are all that are required for most jobs. The factory service manuals from Buell are actually really good, too! Way better than most of the other FSMs that I have used (motorcycles or automobiles).

Rejetting the carb is pretty easy, and there are a lot of posts on here on how to do it. Plus, I've had the unfortunate finding that the HD shops around here don't have a clue how to jet the bike. They forget that these bikes aren't the same as sportsters
