Hey My name is Richard and I am a new(to me) Buell owner. I have wanted one for some time I just couldnt decide which one I wanted and so I figured I would wait for one to speak to me.

This one spoke to me and I didnt hesistate...

It's a 00 M2.It has a stage II Axtell 1250 kit with .536 cams,Mikuni carb,V and H pipe and can and the Ham can looks to be modded(its not a Hurricane) to me for a K&N filter. It also has some sort of crankcase mod because there is some extra tubing and a small filter located above the muffler.

The only thing I think it doesnt have is the race module or similar because the rev limiter comes it at about 6 and it seems as though the off idle response(feels lean and maybe slow timing) is not very good and I get an occasional "pop" from the carb or can depending on if I'm accelarating or deccelerating.
Can someone tell me it's location? I may be lookin right at it but I dont know what it looks like. LoL.

Thanks for lookin and any advise would be great!

Nice bike! Looks like what mine used to. Only yours has a lot more performance upgrades (Mmmmmmmmmmmmm).

The ignition module should be mounted up under the rear fairing on the right side. Its a small rectangular box, about (4" x 3"). If you have the race module, I think they all have a yellow lightning bolt on them. Mine does.
I think that the race module should let you rev to 7200. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

To get rid of that pop, your going to have to check for exhaust/intake leaks, possibly. Though, I've heard/read, that a little popping is normal if your dropping from really high revs.

your pic's are small, but it looks as if the PO linked both breathers together, with that loop up and over the carb. Can't see in the pic, but I guess that line would continue from the banjo on the rear cylinder carb mount down to the filter you mention, and then either to a catch can or a tube draining out to the ground? It shouldn't end in a filter, because that will eventually clog and not allow for breathing. You may want to re-think the breather setup a bit. I would prefer the breather tubes to go downward (oil flows down), have a filter Tee'd off to allow air in but set up so oil doesn't flow into it, then either get the splooge to run into a catch can or some just run the tubing down to a place where it drops on the ground and not on your tire.

Thanks for the replies so far.

I did check for leaks but I couldnt see any carbon tracks on the exhaust and I spray WD40 on the backside of the intake with no change in idle.

I also adjusted the accelerator pumpshot cam and it got better.

It just seems lazy right off idle but it gets alot better as it warms up.

I'm going to investigate the breather tube routing further.I only noticed the filter because it was laying right on the can but it didnt look oil soaked.I will look for some sort of drain tommorow.

I did notice some oil in the carb throat when I took the breather off but I didnt know if this was normal for a Buell.
