Yeah, not a bad score for $150 ish shipped... Hopefully the rash on that other side isn't too bad...Probably going to need to be blasted and re-coated. But these suckers are loud! | ||

Yea, I'm stoked to get em in. I'm hoping they just arent bent from impact. Planning on cleaning em up, hittin em with a black hi-temp rattle-can job, and wrapping in black header wrap. My brother has em on his X1 and they are seriously loud. Any advice on keeping them from stress cracks? I've heard some stories... | ||

I have the same pipes on my X1 and I love these pipes. I just bought a new set and just love them. One MAJOR problem with them is the reason I just bought a new set. The pipes are very thin walled, and after a few years, become very brittle, there isnt anything that you can really do about it. My advice is to definitley wrap them in the header wrap, make sure you do a really good job on them, because more than likely they will crack fairly soon. Great sounding pipes though. Ive heard that wrapping steel pipes will only cause them to become more brittle. I would advise against it myself. | ||

Maybe a high performance ceramic coating, one from a company that does inside and outside both to protect the metal from the heat cycling and fractures that come along? | ||

so far the only thing that seems to do any help to this thin pipe is a nice ceramic coat job to help out with the extreme heat these lil twins put out. but even then, its still subject to cracking b/c of the vibes. you'll make great power and be DAMN loud. but if you can find another good deal on a set, grab em, your going to need them down the road. | ||

THIS MODEL SUCKS! I bought one on ebay for my X1 and it kept braking on the bracket that holds the megaphone and the front cylinder header broke in half! I put a D&D now on it and I can't be happier! solid pipe... I'm happy with the S1 model, but the M2/X1 model is too weak... maybe you will be luckier than me. | ||

Well, I always have the stock header and my V&H can. And at least I will be loud and proud until they go back on. | ||

One thing to remember when you put those on is to NOT tighten the front hanging bracket or the rear bracket down to tight. I was having problems with the new set I put on mine. I broke 2 of the front bottom brackets, and I finally called force and they said to keep it sort of loose and use blue locktite. Just remember that those 2 brackets need room to move. Try to keep like 1/8 of an inch all around that front bottom wrap around bracket. I myself didnt use locktite, I drilled through the bolts and used carter pins. Good luck |
