Maybe this is a silly question but I have to replace the left turn signal indicator on the dash of my 1999 S3T as well as the left rear driving light (brake light works though). I was in a HD dealer yesterday but because they are not a Buell dealer they had no way of looking up the part numbers. Do I really need to go to a Buell dealer to obtain replacement bulbs? I would assume that at least the rear bulb would be common enough that I could hit a general automotive store to obtain the bulbs. Would any one know part numbers if in fact I need to go to a Buell/HD dealer to obtain the bulbs? If I can go to a general auto parts store then what would I be looking for? I am not sure what types of bulbs I need yet (I have not removed the old bulbs yet). More specifically I am concerned about obtaining the bulbs with the correct wattage. Sorry if this is silly but there are no Buell dealers close by and I am just looking for options.

Thanks in advance!

These are all common bulbs. Remove the old ones, take them with, match and replace.

Jreichner:

The BULBS will have a Part Number on them and can usually be purchased at a LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORE ...

You should PURCHASE the FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL and PARTS BOOK for you YEAR and Model BUELL ...

There are SPONSORS on this web site you should check with to get parts ...

GOOGLE the part numbers in question and you will be surprised ...

A lot of HARLEY-DAVIDSON DEALERS are giving up their BUELL FRANCHISE's ...

REMEMBER THIS: "HARLEY DAVIDSON DEALERS, MAKING MECHANIC's OUT OF BUELL RIDERS SINCE 1986 !!!"

MAY THE LONG LASTING BUELL BE WITH YOU !!!

Buellistic/Kilroy:

Thanks for posting so quickly. I have a manual but it happens to be at my house...Thanks for getting back to me. I will remove the old bulbs and see what my friendly auto parts store can do for me.

I honestly can't wait until Buell opens their own independent shops or offers franchises to no-HD dealerships. Maybe I have my head in the clouds but I believe that it would be better for the brand...Just my opinion...

Thanks again!

on a serious note. the only thing you may need to take your bike to a dealer for if you dont want to get involved with ecm spy is the fuel injection system and tps resets. other than that, like i always say, if it bolts together it comes apart
