I took my X1 down the road for the first time and all I can say is, WOW! It feels totally different from my old XB9S. The only problem is that the tach works fine on start up and shows idle but when accelerating, it goes very slowly up the rev range and stops at about 4,000 RPM. Even at 80MPH in 4th gear it didn't go over 4,000. I don't have my shop manual yet. Anyone got any ideas?

I never had any problems with the tach did you try giving it a wiggle test.
