99 that has a race ECM. Has had head work done. It likes to stall at an idle sometimes after warm up as well. I read that resetting the TPS could help. Im not sure that all of these are caused by the same thing but any help would be greatly appreciated.

The engine light stays on because it has stored an error code. Need a software/hardware tool to read the code. That will give you a clue to what might be wrong. ECM spy is a free software tool that you can use. Resetting TPS should be done if you are looking at error codes, after that you can adjust the idle speed.
Once you correct the cause of the error, you can see how it acts.

The stumbling/hesitation is usually caused by a vacuum leak. Some suspect spots are the gaskets between manifold and heads, gasket between manifold and throttle body and a hose fitting on the bottom of the throttle body that used to go to the carbon canister (CA Models for this hose fitting.)

+2 for what barry mentioned. I had that cap on the fitting of the bottom of the throttle body crack and leak on me. Cause some weird problems. It took another Bueller to figure it out.

If you have a manual you can check codes by using a jumper wire on that 4 prong plug that you use to zero the TPS. just look up something like check codes etc..

Download the table of trouble codes and short the two pins on the connector near the right side of the steering head.
I usually use a jack knife. : )
