i just sold my xb9sx, and looking at getting a 99 x1, but the only thing that i dont like about it is the front end (light & fairing) is there anyway you can switch it out for, lets say, the ducati 696 headlight?

Should be easy enough; the headlight and switchgear are Ducati equipment anyway.

Can't tell how it mounts, there aren't standard clamp style brackets on the monster's forks.

It would be neat if you can make it work! Make sure you post pics if you do.

I've been considering the MotoGuzzi Breva 1100 headlamp for a long time, haven't found a used one yet though and they are $250+ new.

There's a thread here somewhere of an S1 with an 1125CR headlight/flyscreen on it. Looks awesome, IMO.

Sorry a bit off your question but I would suggest look for an 01-02 X1 as opposed to a '99. A few better components.

I agree with Ratbuell. I really like the cr headlight conversion that guy did.Id really like to do that one myself if they make a CF Cover for it to go with the rest of my bike.

That Duc unit ought to be a fairly easy fab job. Looks like it is hung from the triples. All it might need is a couple custom brackets.
