That's the shock that came with the bike. I believe it's original. That's a pegasus catch can. I have a thread on the whole thing called "breather set up take II" complete with close up pics, etc... | ||

You stole my bike!!! Just plain awesome!  Check out this breather I got for the catch can. It was $10 at Autozone in their tuner section. They come in all different colors. It's so much nicer than the black rubber mini K&N filter that I paid $25 for. I used to run that filter, but it blue. It was a little obtrusive for my tastes. What I wound up doing was taking a $3 fuel filter about 1 inch long and about 1/2 inch diameter, and modifying that to fit on the right angle fitting that came with the catch can. The result? you can barley see it at all.  | ||

I had an ugly K&N on my catch can that I hated that was why I had it hidden under my chin spoiler. Is your fuel filter just hanging there? There should be a bracket above your catch can for it. Or at least zip tie it to your frame to keep it from shaking around. | ||

Thanks Guys, I have a old yodude puke pipe, but it doesn't hold much (I often forget to empty it and it spews) Also just looking to something new on the old dog. I like both of those setups, though the 3.00 fuel filter looks pretty trick, how does it handle rain? | ||

I don't ride in the rain.  It would probably be fine since it's turned in inward towards the super warm motor. If it gets wet, and the paper element turns to mush, I'll cough up another $2.49. All I had to do with that filter (bought at autozone) was drill it out to accept the stock 1/8" right angle hose barb. | ||

Eric - I was just cleaning up the bike and took a look at my fuel filter. It has a bracket that is either bolted to the top of the rocker cover or attached to the frame under the tank. I don't see the bracket in your pictures. IIRC this was recall item you might want to check on. | ||

Eric, It rains more than it doesn't where I live, so I don't have the weather choices you do. probably one of the reasons my Bike doesn't look near as good as yours, unless your 20 feet away  (Message edited by mbsween on May 11, 2009) | ||

I moved here march 1st. This bike has never lived in the northeast (and never will). I bought it in denver about 3 weeks ago and drove it back to NM promptly. |
