Does anyone have a photo of the two front shock mounts side by side?

I am looking for a clear photo that shows the original mount for the 16.5 inch next to the later mount for the 14.7 inch Showa. I seem to recall seeing one here, but for the life of me I cannot find it.

Also a question: Refresh my failing memory . . .Does the M2L use a different front shock mount? If so, does anyone have an off the bike photo? Ideally, it would be alongside a "non L" front mount for comparison.

Thanks in advance,

Don

Here is the link to the post in which I had the same question. There is a pic for you in there.

Doncasto, are you looking for a mount? I have an early one for the 16.5.

HippyJoe/Impala - That is the photo I have been looking for! Thanks!

Eric - I am trying to put together an informational collection for the parts guy at the local dealership. I have gathered up the several Service Bulletins and added some of the photos offered here to aid in identification. As far as I know, I don't currently need a mount, but thanks for the offer.

Don,

I always forget...

The mount for the 2002 M2L is the same or different than the "Late" style?

i made my own mount. got box tubing 1 1/2" x 3 1/2", 3/16" wall($6 a pound).cut it to get the lower part of the mount. then used 1/2" plate for the top part. used a band saw for the cuts, and welded the 2 together. drilled holes where needed. i moved the shock hole 3/4" for a lower bike. i should have went about 1/2".

Wilson-

I received a message from a very reliable source - a long time S2 enthusiast and Buell archivist (thanks Todd Williams) -He informed me that the "L" is accomplished with a different length shock - the mount is the same as the "non L" bikes built with the 14.7" Showa.
