This summer I rode to the 105th and unfortunately had my battery die when I was at Hal's. Thankfully they charged my battery for me and I was on my way for the rest of the day. 2 days later it was dead again so I bought a new one. Now it still only stays charged for about a day or two and is really getting inconvenient for me. Any ideas what it is?

Charge the battery and get the bike started. With a volt meter on vdc, hold the bike at 3000 rpm and read the voltage at the battery terminals. Should be higher than 13.5 and less than 14.7 volts. If not, start checking the regulator, then stator.

Get a BATTERY TENDER PLUS !!!

When not riding, keep on trickle charge ...

When the GREEN float LED either will not come on or just blinks(long period of time), that indicates you need to replace the BATTERY(get a new one) ...

It works for me as "i" have never been on the side of the road with a dead battery ...

Have a 105,044.1 mile as of the last ride and still running ORIGINAL OEM stator/rotor/voltage regulator ...
