Probably not one of the more masculine posts...but oh well.

Planning on traveling for a couple of weeks and would like to take my dog (10 lbs and small) instead of boarding it. Anybody had any success with dog carriers? If so could you recommend one for my 2002 M2L.
Thanks.

I've seen a few dog carriers on touring bikes, and the owners seem as happy as their pets. Something like a Ventura rack system would probably work well with a dog carrier.

My friends all strongly recommend eye protection (goggles) even for dogs that stick their heads out the car window.

Here's one source for information:

I'm not interested in pets with me on a motorcycle... but that was one cool link!

Don't think my cat friend would like that at all.

You could just get one of these in case your dog starts growing, or brings friends.
Or you could just get a faster dog like that cowboy who's dog followed him all over the wild west.

I want some Doggles but my beady little eyes are too close together.

"Or you could just get a faster dog..."

I hate responses that are just smilies...

My dog is fairly indifferent to the Buell, but the Norton absolutely infuriates him. It's the only thing that p*sses him off, ever. I can work on it, I can sit on it, whatever, he's fine but as soon as I snick that starter pedal out he starts barking so furiously that spit flies out of his head. One time I left it idling in the driveway and he actually bit one of the turn signals! I'd say it was the mechanical noise that does it but I gotta say my Buell sounds like somebody threw a toolbox in a cement mixer compared to the Norton. Suffice it to say he isn't going for any rides with me.

I think it is best. I love dogs but if you have to start riding with one you will have to decide whether to wear your bra over or under you jacket! or just get a little purse dog and put it in a tank bag.

I like a push-up bra. It gives me a little more shape and fills out my new mesh jacket better.
