Just purchased a set of RS1200 Soft Saddle Bags. There are straps on the front and back of the bags. 1" nylon webbing. No buckles or velcro on them. Where do they attach? What are they for? Am I missing some hardware?

Yes. There was also a saddle bag frame available. It does little more than moving the rear turn signals back.

There were only a couple sets of those made. The straps, as I recall, wrap around the frame to secure the units.

The "turn signal relocation phenomenon" came years later.

Here's what the bags looked like.

Looks just like my bike, Court.

I have the bags, with BOG patches on them.

They have the standard male/female plastic clips on them, like many bags have. The male ends have three prongs on them.

That can result fro living near a hazardous waste disposal site.

Dude. . . it like WAS your bike. That was at Road America circa 1997 or so. You can tell how youthful we look. I've got one picture of Erik and I here that is 16 years old. . . we looked like teenagers.

And by the way. . . you are one of the folks duly licensed to use the term B.O.G. and BUELL OWNERS GROUP which Phil, Don and I effectively name styled in the articles of incorporation.

: )

Still one of the best looking Buells ever made.

Thank you all. I bought clips, & they secure just fine. By the way... Do not ride without securing those clips. The bags will flap like dumbo ears. (We all have blond moments.)
