Mick Thanks, the Works has a chrome body and reservoir. Not sure if your spring would be the same colour. Joe

You can get black according to American Sport Bike site which is good seeing my bikes black. |

Works springs are a bright blue. Got one on my S2 (Penske on my S1W). Do you have a preference between the two? Any major differences? |

I couldn't mount my reservoir in that location on my M2. It took me a few tries, but I got it to fit under the engine almost like the stock reservoir, but further back, away from the header. You can see it in my profile pic. Good dampers do miraculous things for tuber rear suspensions. |

Daniel I have my works reservoir mounted where my bank angle sensor was located. Don't know if this is an option for your. Joe |

Adjustability is great on both. The reservoir is a PITA to mount on both (especially with the leg fairings on the S2). I've got the S2 set up more for comfort; the S1W more agressively; so it's not really apples and apples. Both are a HUGE step ahead of the stocker and I don't have regrets on either one. I may have my Works spring re-coated though - the bright blue on a red snap / white frame S2 is a bit jarring, lol. Preference-wise, though, if it were new-to-new comparison, I'd go Works. There is no glaring difference obvious to me during street use (I don't think I'm a good enough rider to really explore the limits of either one). Since I got the Penske used/fresh rebuilt for the same money as the new Works, though...I couldn't turn that one down when I got it. |

"Don't know if this is an option for your." Joe I like that location you were able to use. The Penske damper doesn't have the reservoir lines pointed in a direction that would allow me to mount the reservoir in the same location. "I don't think I'm a good enough rider to really explore the limits of either one." Between a Works and Penske, I probably couldn't tell the difference either, but I could tell a world of difference between the Penske and the crappy stock Showas I was using. |
