I remember I bought (9 yrs ago) a lift stand kinda like those that pick up the rear with the swing arm, **except ** this neat stand did it by the Buell foot pegs and it did not slip. I tossed mine away when I sold the old M2.

Have an M2 again, need a stand...go figure, eh?
I don't want to get the standard kind in case I need to pull the swing arm out for a belt change, etc. It was an American company, nice set up with a rubber grip handle on it...

Cbig,
Call Al at American Sportbike. Don at D.S.E just did another small run of those stands. I bought one from him and he apparently sold the rest to Al. Great stand.

Make one out of an old shopping cart.

This is the D.S.E guy that made the CenterStands for the tubers.

http://www.cyclelifts.com/

As far as I know, he was the only guy that ever made them. But he does not have them on the web site any more and, as far as I know, Al at American Sport Bike may be the only person that is anything like a regular supplier for them or has them from time to time.

But they are an essential component being a happy tuber owner. That stand and some mix and match work with floor jacks, engine lifts, safety straps from ceiling joists, etc., will let you do just about anything on a tuber and in a safe and sane manner.

I bought a really good one from another member here at Badweb a while back.

It lifts the bike from the foot pegs and is easy to use and very stable. Looks good too - a gold finish and good welds.

I just went out in the garage and checked - it says Don Shalla on it so that must be the same one.

It even comes apart for storage.

If Al has them for sale, my recommendation is to get one while you can.

Regards,

Dave
