Has anyone used a stock buell single fire coil with a Hi4 or Dyna 2000 ignition? I switched my 1999 S3 to a carb and have been running the stock ignition but it's seems like it's not quite right. The stock coil is sort of compact and fits well. I don't no if the aftermarket has one that is the same size. |

Kevin When I switched to a Carb I used the crane coil with the Hi-4 ignition. I'm very pleased with it. Joe |

Check to see what the recommended primary resistance is for those ignition systems. Our coils have a crazy low resistance like under an ohm. For comparison, points-style coils generally run 5 ohms. If you attempted to run a stock Buell coil with points, the points would most likely burn. |

Thanks Joe, I was a little worried about clearance. It doesn't look like theres much room under there. I'll have the tank off today, that should give me a better look. |
