Okay, well I had my first accident. I'm alive but well bruised. Luckily(haha) my body kept the bike from contacting a guardrail directly. But the tank cover is scratched pretty well. I am looking for a new/used set of plastics, preferably red stripe model parts. Worst case I make a color change with the scratched parts assuming I can save it(one of the front mounts broke as well). Anyway, if anyone has a spare tank cover, chin piece, front fender. I also need a front fairing to trim for my new clipons. Thanks. | ||

There was someone here in the classefieds that said that they were selling a full set red with white stripe but they were scamming. I sent $300 via paypal and they sent nothing for almost a month. Thankfully, I used the AMEX to pay paypal so I was able to retract the money. Name attached to paypal account: Gary Gallagher Email address used: 69ssndfuture@sbcglobal.net Don't get burned. Wicked, I have an old red-stripe tank cover. It has a piece of Duct tape stuck on that I never took off, so I can't really vouch for condition. I'll dig it up and take a pic, your's for the cost of shipping Matt | ||

Nate.... I didn't get screwed but I think I came close. We had a deal for his nuke blue rims but the guy never gave me a shipping cost. I gave up after awhile. | ||

You could switch over to CF. For about a grand you can get the 4 major pieces. I imagine you will have a hard time finding the stripe parts. If the tank cover isn't cracked or broken, try to have it fixed and re-painted. Color matching may be a problem, maybe paint all the parts so everything matches up nice. Be wary of buying online from private parties! Nate has a good system to protect yourself. | ||

Wicked, Sorry for the delay, its in good shape mechanically all the tabs are there and the fill up warning stick is there too. its scratched on the left side and it has some baked on residue that looks like duct tape. its got the general nicks of a part thats been shipped around a bit. Let me know if you want it. I'll probaboly take ofver to mailboxes to ship it as I don't have anything to put it in. Matt   | ||

UHHHH< HELLO, 1st off, I have NEVER scammed anyone nor would I. Had you been "SCAMMED" you would have never got your money back. had you sent me the right address the 1st time you would have them as we speak. man I cant believe you waited a whole 3 weeks and never tried contacting me, you had my direct cell number and could have called any time. As for Lake bueller, I told you that I had to pull them off of the bike and could'nt do so due to me having a huge accident on my XB. Once they were removed I gave you 1st shot at them. Before you guys go around throwing bad post's and trying to bash someone you might try knowing the truth or at least tell it so. | ||

I sent 98s1lightning the money last week for the plastics. He has kept in touch with me. I should be getting some plastics fairly soon. Besides how dumb would it be for a member to try to scam another member. BE CAREFUL trying to ruin someones reputation is a serious matter and this is a fairly small community of people. I'm slow sometimes when buying or selling that doesn't make me a scammer that means I get busy and sometimes lose track of things. If he sent you your money back, then it wasn't a scam. If my deal goes bad then you all can tell me I told you so and I"ll join you in the lynching. Otherwise chalk it up as a deal that didn't work, happens sometimes | ||

I wasn't trying to RUIN anyone. I didn't even mention the badweb handle. I thought that someone from the scary outside world had hijacked the identity of one of us. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt in this issue. I sent the money via paypal and got confirmation of the money making it through. then nothing. Then I sent my address again and nothing. After three weeks of silence, I assumed it was a scam and pulled the plug on the transaction. Even after I pulled the plug, I got nothing. This seemingly confirmed that it was a bit shady. Honestly, I was shocked to see 98s post in here! Did yahoo's spam filter kill your mails to me? This whole situation is confusing the crap out of me. | ||

look, I dont know what happened, I thought you just changed your mind. Remember, you changed your address info on me in mid shipment, you wanted it stopped from going to your house and re-sent too your work. When I typed in your work address via UPS it came back non-exsistant. I am never here on this section of bad web but a little bird had hinted that I should go on here. Can you tell me why you never tried to get in touch with me via the classifieds? | ||
