Since I can't do anything the way that's been "proven" (LOL)...my S2 is going to go back together as follows:

Thunderstorm heads
Stock XB "E" cams
"E" cam pinion gear
.005" o/s Thunderstorm pistons
new bronze oil pump gear
XB oil cooler...somewhere (those 2T fairings and Banke frame brace may cause a real estate issue, especially if I add a stabilizer later).

...we'll see what numbers I get out of her after she's together. Pistons are on order, everything else is in stock, so hopefully a week and she'll be running again.

Sounds like a solid upgrade. Here is what my XB cooler looks like. The mounting was a compromise because of the XB lines and fittings.

Don't think that your brace will be the problem can't say about the fairing, but it would hide it nicely if it would cover.
