No garage and it is cold, dark and snowing...

But I FINISHED!

Had to trim handguard to accommodate the mirror.

Other than adjusting for your mirrors, they bolted right on correct?

I'm getting a set within the next couple weeks.

Have you ridden with them yet? Noticeably less wind on the fingers and hands?

Yes, they bolted right on. Almost too easy.
I have not ridden with them yet. It was less than 25F outside when I finished. 30 seems to be my limit.

I might give it a try tomorrow.

I have the same mountain bike mirrors. The best mirrors I have had on a motorcycle. Nice job on the guards.

Thanks!
Yeah you can't beat around $15 for the mirror.

You know those guards would make an excellent place for Led turn signals.

That's not a bad idea! I might have to do some lookin' around the internet for something that I could hide but still produce enough light.

I had flush-mount LEDs on back, but you couldn't see them at all. I got tired of using my Hand signal, I usually need to keep both hands on the bars

I took out the bike tonight for a bit. 25 degrees outside and windy. I did notice an appreciable difference with the guards. Plus, they look cool!

Hey Eengler2 my first bike was 1981 CB750f with dual carbs, hand turned cams and a blue printed engine. My current bike is a 2000 M2 with Forced air and V&H header and can. The fairing is an S3T and I am currently adding S3 bags. I think I will try to add your hand guards and mirrors to see how that looks. Not sure how that will look with the S3 fairing but willing to try. Cheers!!! M2

Your CB750 sounds like a beast! Where did you get the dual carbs and how did it run?

I will be rebuilding the Honda over the next couple years into a cafe style bike. I also need to rebuild the motor. Probably going to do an 836cc.

Try out the handguards. I think you'll like it. Post a picture if you do!

I bought the bike in the late 1980's from a guy that dragged raced bikes. I was to be his next draggster. He was in the middle of the project and crashed hard on a different bike and got REALLY bike shy after that. He helped me finish it up and sold it to me at cost. He had all the parts b/4 I got involved so I don't know where he got the duel carbs but it was a great bike to ride. Had to sell it to buy a house after I got married and a real job.

Question:

I just installed the handguards on my M2. What did you do about the plastic throttle sleeve that covers the end of the bar? Drill it out?
