which side, how fast were ya moving, was your tongue on the proper side of your mouth when ya went down

little more data would be useful, but, lacking said, you've likely got no problems you can't see -- the frames are pertty sturdy, ya might wannt throw a goord straightedge on the forks, just for giggles and grins, check the alignment of the forks, (sometimes, the upper triple tree will rotate a little on the stem, easily righted)

Yo Chase, You crashed? What happened? I got a couple extra Buell parts hanging around, what do you need? Ya wanna burgle a chopper "designer" with me n score some parts? I am sure we can get off as it's a crime of passion, like Greenpeace. Den 99X1

I had a couple of lowsides hard enough to bend the handlebars. Other than replacing everything bent, I loosened the triple clamps and fork brace, checked to make sure everything was in line, and tightened everything back up.

Chase,

How's the brake pedal? I have an unneeded brake pedal that I think is for an X-1. The hole for the push rod pivot is in line with the mounting/pivot hole, it does not have a dogleg/offset in towards the centerline of the bike like the M2 brake pedal.

Send me an address if you can use that.

Jack

Unless it hits something hard or cartwheels I think the frame can pretty much handle it.

Sorry for the quick post...

Went down left side...ripped shift linkage off, tore up the tank cover, peg, rear peg mounts bent, scrath tail, bentr handle bars, and of course with that, teh obvious control damage, scrathed the side case, derby cover...dont htink there is too much else...

The forks look ok...they never even hit the ground..no scratches or marks...

Anyway, have the bars on order(crossroads), got my rear sets yesterday(from another BadWebber)..

The next question...who has done these CrossRoads rear sets...gonna start trying to get her back together..everything should be here this week, so, it will be guly, but rideable, adn for now..good enough for me...

I am okay...my geasr did its job... only rash is on the left knee...bruised, sore..but other wise okay, i will be back on this week, hopefully...

Anyway...have a few questions involving the rear sets..

Do I need the Crossroads brake lever...or can I use mine?

I will check back before I call them back...thats will be only thing holding me up...

Thanx,

Chase

Ouch! Sorry to hear about your accident. Good thing you didn't mail off that shifter. I have 1 extra mirror you can have if you need it. For that matter, if anyone needs a breadbox, let me know, I finally got my Forcewinder installed on mine. Let me know how you fare on the tank, I'm going to have to sand mine down and repaint it. I couldn't find an autobody shop near me that would sand/repaint my tank.

Cnat wait until me knee and shoulder are up to a thurough test run....

Thanx for everyones help...she is gonna be ugly for while...but its ridable.

Some Finnish or German custom creation with a car motor. I saved it as it was purely the ugliest two wheel vehicle I ever saw. Looks like some kind of bizarre articulated one sided swingarm steering too. This thing is so monstrous it should be preserved in a museum.

This one is pretty bad too but it pales compared to the gargoyle above.

I would pay to park either one at my local Harley dealer for a couple hours on a busy saturday afternoon. The rat one would be the perfect HD for me.

Check out www.ratbike.org and the euro rat bikes like the dutch rat. The guy paints the bike with battery acid for that special look...
