Iran Atomic Archive
Press Statement
Mike Pompeo
Secretary of State

Washington, DC

April 30, 2018

For many years, the Iranian regime has insisted to the world that its nuclear program was peaceful. The documents obtained by Israel from inside of Iran show beyond any doubt that the Iranian regime was not telling the truth. I have personally reviewed many of the Iranian files. Our nonproliferation and intelligence officials have been analyzing tens of thousands of pages and translating them from Farsi. This analytical work will continue for many months. We assess that the documents we have reviewed are authentic.

The documents show that Iran had a secret nuclear weapons program for years. Iran sought to develop nuclear weapons and missile delivery systems. Iran hid a vast atomic archive from the world and from the IAEA — until today.

Among the flaws of the Iran nuclear deal was the whitewashing of Iran’s illicit activities related to its military nuclear program. Iran had many opportunities over the years to turn over its files to international inspectors from the IAEA and admit its nuclear weapons work. Instead, they lied to the IAEA repeatedly. They also lied about their program to the six nations who negotiated the Iran nuclear deal. What this means is the deal was not constructed on a foundation of good faith or transparency. It was built on Iran’s lies. Iran’s nuclear deception is inconsistent with Iran’s pledge in the nuclear deal “that under no circumstances will Iran ever seek, develop, or acquire any nuclear weapons.”

We are therefore assessing what the discovery of Iran’s secret nuclear files means for the future of the JCPOA. Allowing restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program to sunset was a mistake. One has to ask: Why exactly was Iran hiding half a ton of nuclear weaponization files while implementing the Iran deal? It is worth recalling that from 2006-2015, Iran was prohibited by Security Council resolutions from enriching any nuclear material. Now that the world knows Iran has lied and is still lying, it is time to revisit the question of whether Iran can be trusted to enrich or control any nuclear material. As the President’s May 12 deadline to fix the Iran deal approaches, I will be consulting with our European allies and other nations on the best way forward in light of what we now know about Iran’s past pursuit of nuclear weapons and its systematic deception of the world.

Mike Pompeo is a good friend of my Mother (who I think FB1 has met) and I know he's a no nonsense guy.

Mr. Pompeo has been VERY busy:

Office of the Spokesperson

Washington, DC

April 30, 2018

The below is attributable to Spokesperson Heather Nauert:

Secretary Pompeo met with King Abdullah on April 30, and reaffirmed the strong bond and strategic partnership between the United States and Jordan. During their meeting, the leaders recommitted to defeating ISIS, working together to support bilateral ties between the United States and Jordan, and making progress on key regional issues, including the administration’s dedication to pursuing a lasting and comprehensive peace between Israel and the Palestinians that promises a brighter future for both. In this regard, the Secretary and King Abdullah agreed on the urgent need to confront Iran’s destabilizing presence and malign behaviors in Syria and the region.

quote:

President Donald J. Trump Proclaims May 1, 2018, as Law Day, U.S.A.
Law & Justice
Issued on: April 30, 2018

On Law Day, we celebrate our Nation’s heritage of liberty, justice, and equality under the law. This heritage is embodied most powerfully in our Constitution, the longest surviving document of its kind. The Constitution established a unique structure of government that has ensured to our country the blessings of liberty through law for nearly 229 years.

The Framers of our Constitution created a government with distinct and independent branches — the Legislative, the Executive, and the Judicial — because they recognized the risks of concentrating power in one authority. As James Madison wrote, “the accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands . . . may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” By separating the powers of government into three co-equal branches and giving each branch certain powers to check the others, the Constitution provides a framework in which the rule of law has flourished.

The importance of the rule of law can be seen throughout our Nation’s history. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the ratification of the Fourteenth Amendment to our Constitution. The Fourteenth Amendment prohibits States from denying persons the equal protection of the laws or depriving them of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. The commitment to the rule of law that led the country to ratify that Amendment was no less powerful than the commitment to the rule of law that led the country to ratify the original Constitution.

That commitment to the rule of law lives on today. It drives the debates we see around the country about the growth of the administrative state and regulatory authority, and about the unfortunate trend of district court rulings that exceed traditional limits on the judicial power. We also see that commitment in the people’s demand that their representatives comply with the Constitution, and in the Representatives and Senators themselves who take seriously their oaths to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower first commemorated Law Day in 1958 to celebrate our Nation’s roots in the principles of liberty and guaranteed fundamental rights of individual citizens under the law. Law Day recognizes that we govern ourselves in accordance with the rule of law rather according to the whims of an elite few or the dictates of collective will. Through law, we have ensured liberty. We should not, and do not, take that success for granted. On this 60th annual observance of Law Day, let us rededicate ourselves to the rule of law as the best means to secure, as the Preamble to our Constitution so wisely states, “the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.”

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, in accordance with Public Law 87–20, as amended, do hereby proclaim May 1, 2018, as Law Day, U.S.A. I urge all Americans, including government officials, to observe this day by reflecting upon the importance of the rule of law in our Nation and displaying the flag of the United States in support of this national observance; and I especially urge the legal profession, the press, and the radio, television, and media industries to promote and to participate in the observance of this day.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this thirtieth day of April, in the year of our Lord two thousand eighteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-second.

DONALD J. TRUMP

Unspoken here is the fact that Iran is both vulnerable to attack and very well armed to disrupt the global economy.

I won't get into detail on how we can hurt Iran fairly easily. Simply put one missile strike could cripple their oil terminal feeding China, a potential two-for-one. But not one done lightly. ( especially if we are using China to pressure N Korea )

The other side of the equation is a real threat. The support, with troops, arms, & missiles to Syria and Yemen, is part of a larger offensive against Saudi Arabia. ( what? You thought the reforms there are for good luck? )

Plus a large number of bomb boats and Chinese supplied anti ship missiles are poised to shut off other countries oil flow to the rest of the planet.

Somewhere in the bowels of the Pentagon is a folder with the plan to hit Iran's military capacity to stop shipping. It would take a mass strike on several ports and sweeps to hit mobile missiles. I hope the guys who's job it is to keep it up to date are competent.

I'd rather see a Ton Clancy CIA op to take out the leadership, but the last eight years seems to have turned the agency into a Clinton campaign organization.

Former CIA Officer and whistleblower Kevin Shipp says what is going on with Donald J. Trump “is an ongoing coup to remove a duly elected President.” Shipp contends, “This is a huge constitutional crisis like the country has never seen before. This makes Watergate look like a Sunday school class.”

On Friday, Shipp and other retired top officials at the CIA, FBI, DOJ and NSA held a press conference and demanded Attorney General Jeff Sessions prosecute top Obama era officials for obvious crimes against the incoming Trump Administration. Shipp says, “We have a coup within our government right now at the senior levels at the CIA, DOJ and the FBI attempting to unseat a duly elected President who was elected by the American people and remove him from office. . . .This is, at worst, treason with senior officials in the shadow government or Deep State . . . to attack Donald Trump and remove him from office. . . . We have not seen anything like this since the Presidency of John F. Kennedy (JFK), when CIA Director Allen Dulles attacked him, and we saw what happened there. . . . There is crystal clear evidence that the CIA was, at least, involved with the cover-up of the JFK assassination. Now, we have the same thing happening again. . . . Remember what Chuck Schumer said, and it was chilling. He said, ‘If you cross the intelligence community, they can hit back at you six ways from Sunday.’ That’s what we are seeing now. It’s collusion or a coup with senior officials at the FBI, DOJ and CIA along with Robert Mueller to unseat an elected president.”

Shipp goes on to explain... MORE

https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/01/politics/trump-lawy ers-showdown-special-counsel/index.html

Robert Mueller said that he might subpoena Trump. Trump has said that he will meet with Mueller regarding the investigation. Trump's legal team also said that he'll meet with them.

However, 99% of the article focuses on how "sources familiar with the thinking of his legal team" believe that he will challenge mueller all the way up to the supreme court!!!

You can pick through the story and find the facts, but they're drowned out by the overwhelming amount of agenda-driven opinion-reporting.

They gave the Nobel Peace Prize to Barry, who then started his own series of wars, without congressional authorization, that have killed hundreds of thousands and sent over 60 million refugees to Europe, leading to the new Dark Ages there.

There might be some objective thought at giving the chemistry prize. The Peace Prize is more like Time magazine's Man of the year cover.

They gave one to Arafat. That's like giving Tiny Soprano an ethics and crime stoppers award.

DiGenova: 'This was smashmouth takedown' of Mueller
Former U.S. attorney: 'To question the integrity is unprecedented'

By Greg Corombos, May 4, 2018

A federal judge blasted the special counsel investigation of Robert Mueller Friday, accusing the former FBI director of assuming “unfettered” authority and maintaining control of the Paul Manafort prosecution solely to squeeze out incriminating information about President Trump.

And a former federal prosecutor says this was an “unprecedented rebuke” of Mueller and his team, as well as Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who oversees the Mueller probe.

“This was a smashmouth takedown,” said Joe diGenova, a former U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. “To question the integrity, in essence, of Mr. Mueller, because of the nature of the case that he has in front of him in federal court, is truly unprecedented.”

“I was absolutely stunned in a positive way that a judge, who was so fundamentally conservative in both his approach and his demeanor in court, was so appalled by what was happening in front of him. This is a very bad sign for Mueller,” said diGenova.

“This was a remarkable dressing down for Mr. Mueller,” he added.

“What it shows is that seeping out into the federal court system and judges is a sense that not only is the Mueller investigation out of control, but the supervision of it by Rod Rosenstein is either non-existent or out of control. That is a very bad sign for Mr. Mueller and Mr. Rosenstein,” said diGenova.

In addition to the specifics of the investigation, diGenova says the comments from Ellis mark an important moment.

“What we are watching here is the slow education of the American people through a civics lesson, which is being conducted through the media. People are discussing the law and the Constitution and the threat to our constitutional order that the Mueller investigation represents, because it started with no crime being investigated,” said diGenova.
