Blow it all up ... not literally, but figuratively. It's rotten to the core. |

Ratbuell said "I don't see many "good guys" running for office..." Back in the day, there was a guy named Tom McClintock, CA Congressman. He ran for Governor of CA. At that time, reminded me of Reagan. But he had a slight disadvantage. He was running against a guy named Arnold. Couln't get traction as, even then, the MSM was making Arnold out to be the next coming. But enough about his maid! The people voted. McClintock was crushed. The "people" rejoiced. Years later my sister Lynne acknowledged her mistake. She's grown a lot since then. Now married to an USMC Colonel. Son career USMC. Grandson newbie USMC. She has a nice family. Proud of her. There are a lot of good candidates, even at the local level, to choose from. Even locally here, we have liars in our press. I think DJT will have a lot to do with future voter turnout. Perfect theme song for 2020...U2's With or Without You. Be patient my fellow Swamp Drainers. It took a long time to build this mess. We've got work to do!

Blow it all up ... not literally, but figuratively. It's rotten to the core. Then what? Are you going to stand in the rubble as our new Lord and Master, and decree a utopian society molded by your will? By all means I will join you as absolute ruler until we can be assured our minions will run our perfect technology and logic based government. Iron fist with a warm heart. Unless you don't have super powers so you'd live five minutes trying to rule as King. Then the most evil, ruthless, murderous folk will take power and rule with the iron fist and loyal social justice warrior thugs willing to slaughter us for heresy. That's right. Hillary. And chuck Schumer. (Message edited by aesquire on August 04, 2017) |

Btw, I understand the sentiment. That's why every week I email Kim in N. Korea the Google maps location of D.C. |

I said figuratively. Not literally. Just getting Term Limits will essentially blow up the SOP. Also prohibiting Congressman and their family members from becoming lobbyists. And a balanced budget amendment. You do those three things and you have fundamentally changed the landscape for the better. |

The problem with the good candidates is that they eventually get corrupted by the system as Aesquire pointed out. I used to think Ryan was a good Rep. Look at what he has turned into. Unless we change the system, the good candidates either will not last in Washington or they will be corrupted. |

You know; for all the badmouthing, swamp denizens, crooked media and so on, I can't think of a country I'd prefer to live in. Just to put it into perspective. |

Macbuell said..."The problem with the good candidates is that they eventually get corrupted by the system..." Actually not true. At the age of majority, you either have integrity and good character, or you don't. A "good candidate" is subjective to most. Some will vote for the oratory, some the looks, some givemedats won't care as long as candidate x tickles their ears. Statesmen are out there. We the People have to help them, shoe leather, phone calls, family & friends. Stop letting people shut you up. In retirement, I am going to amp up my involvement. I've been political for almost three decades. Even helped get some elected along the way. I will not die without fighting for the country I love. You are right Crusty. Never give up...

I don't believe in democracy either. I'm not sure, but I think Venezuela is a socialist democracy. Democrats here in USA are either socialists or marxists, with a couple of moderates who still haven't been drummed out. Remember Joe Lieberman? However, I do believe in a Republic. And that, according to our Constitution, is exactly what we are, even today! |

Gowindward, good article. Fair warning. The local right wing radio station, not the giant conglomo one that plays Rush & Hannity & the "mainstream right", but the little one that has to pay it's way with hour long vitamin supplements shows, has "Valor Radio" for vets and patriots, local gun programming for enemies of his Imperial Majesty in Albany and his anti-civil-rights programs and unconstitutional laws voted in the dead of night in secret. ( the excuse was he didn't want everyone to go buy the soon to be banned evil magic. Seriously, that was his excuse. ) So pretty much every Patriotic Citizen outside the D Run city ghetto actually has programming for them outside The Media Machine. If you don't mind turning them off at 8:00 pm to watch tv instead of being pitched Krill oil with D. ( apparently Krill, being the food of Blue Whales, the fattest creatures on the planet will help me lose weight ) |

Maybe not weight, but it's much better than fish oil in terms of raising good cholesterol, lowering bad, and reducing inflammation in joints. If you take fish oil, switch to krill. Doesn't taste as bad when you burp either. |

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/08/05 /final-days-obama-admin-pushed-several-hundred-tho usand-taxpayer-dollars-climate-change-museum/ Hoot, true, I should try it. I'm just amused at the whale aspect. Plus the supplement industry is full of crap. A rant and flame war that belongs on the science thread. Some stuff works. It might even be in the bottle you buy at Wal-Mart. As to the link. I think a Great Frauds museum display would be appropriate use of my tax dollars. What exhibits would you suggest? The Social Security Lockbox? Global Panic Change? Pre-1967 national boundaries? Socialism is Humanitarian? |

B O O M ! https://www.thenation.com/article/a-new-report-rai ses-big-questions-about-last-years-dnc-hack/
Time stamps in the metadata indicate the download occurred somewhere on the East Coast of the United States—not Russia, Romania, or anywhere else outside the EDT zone. . . . There was no hack of the Democratic National Committee’s system on July 5 last year—not by the Russians, not by anyone else. Hard science now demonstrates it was a leak—a download executed locally with a memory key or a similarly portable data-storage device. In short, it was an inside job by someone with access to the DNC’s system. This casts serious doubt on the initial “hack,” as alleged, that led to the very consequential publication of a large store of documents on WikiLeaks last summer. On the evening of July 5, 2016, 1,976 megabytes of data were downloaded from the DNC’s server. The operation took 87 seconds. This yields a transfer rate of 22.7 megabytes per second. . . . These statistics are matters of record and essential to disproving the hack theory. No Internet service provider, such as a hacker would have had to use in mid-2016, was capable of downloading data at this speed. Compounding this contradiction, Guccifer claimed to have run his hack from Romania, which, for numerous reasons technically called delivery overheads, would slow down the speed of a hack even further from maximum achievable speeds. . . . Forensic investigations of documents made public two weeks prior to the July 5 leak by the person or entity known as Guccifer 2.0 show that they were fraudulent: Before Guccifer posted them they were adulterated by cutting and pasting them into a blank template that had Russian as its default language. Guccifer took responsibility on June 15 for an intrusion the DNC reported on June 14 and professed to be a WikiLeaks source—claims essential to the official narrative implicating Russia in what was soon cast as an extensive hacking operation. To put the point simply, forensic science now devastates this narrative. . . .

http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2017/08/wh y_the_swamp_hates_trump.html A bit over the top on the Trump love but accurate on the why of the hate. You know a man by his enemies. He may still be a flaming jerk, And the reasons they hate him matter. A Jeb might be hated for being a more successful jerk of the same & competing breed. Donald is a different flavor jerk. And I'm more than sick of the taste the establishment jerks leave. |
