Trying to remove muffler from a 2008 Uly XB12X. Pinch bolt is out, made my own tool to fit into axle - CAN NOT turn that thing-( and don't say wimpy )All the manual references to the exhaust or tension pulley say you have to "un-thread" the axle - What's the trick

Stupid question, why are you fooling with the axles if you are only trying to remove the exhaust?

Anyway, it sounds like the axle did not have enough anti-seize coating on it, and it seized to the bearings. Time to break out the cheater bar, and be sure to inspect the bearings when you get the wheel off.

Reverse thread on the front axle in case thats the one your trying to loosen
