Today I put some dielectric grease on the fuel pump electrical connection because I was tired of corrosion causing headaches. The bike started and ran fine, but after awhile the check engine light would start to come on. Cleaned the grease off with contact cleaner and no more check engine light.

i don't see how the grease would cause a problem like that. perhaps the connector was loose.
