I just reset my TPS on my xb9sx with ECMSpy. I then started it up and it ran pretty ruff. So to make a bad situation worse I reset it again, but only this time it was like the software wasn't in real time. I had to keep going b/t overview and trouble codes tabs to see the changes I made. Anyway it won't run and if it does it backfires and I am worried sick! How do I get back to square one?

The most important thing: did you back your idle adjust screw off far enough and gently forced the throttle closed prior to pushing the TPS reset button? If not, there is your likely problem.

Back off the screw, gently force it closed, and then open it. You should feel it stuck briefly in the closed position before it snaps open. If not, back the screw off a little more, and do it again. Once you can feel the stick, gently force it closed again and THEN push the TPS reset button. That should fix your problem.

Last time I did a TPS reset, I had a similar issue. I found that the throttle cable and idle cable lock nuts had loosened up so I wasn't getting a good zero. I adjusted the cables per the manual and all was good after another reset.
