I have ECMSpy and cable and have spent hours and hours combing over the message boards looking for info...

I'm really looking for a few quick answers..

First off my my bike setup
07 Uly, HiFlow Air filter, cored out stock exhaust with exhaust valve still hooked up(although probably not doing much), stock ecm, I've adjusted the fuel map like treamdarks foursquare idle procedure..

Questions:

1.. Since modifying my stock pipe and getting the hi flow airfilter do I need to fatten up the fuel map? all over? or is the ecm smart enough to compensate for those mods?
2.. Has anyone succesfully removed the stumbling between say 2500 to 3500 on their xb? I've read lots of threads on folks that say they have but no concrete method of doing that..
3.. I've logged data with ecmspy and viewed it with MegaLogviewer but I dont see a way to see what the air fuel ratio was at the current time.. I see how veanalyzer allows you to load up a buell suggested air fuel map, and will change your fuelmap to get those optimum values, but dont see the option of seeing what it was while i was riding.. i wanted to see if i was running lean or rich in certain areas.. make sense?

Any advice would be appreciated..

No answer huh? Im surprised at the wealth of info on ecm spy, success stories, etc.. but also am just as surprised at the amount of people that figure it out then dont share how they did it, believe me, once i figure this all out, ill be documenting exactly what i did to make my uly run a bit smoother..

Mark, I have found that after logging you slow the playback down and if you have selected the o2 display and the rpm display you can data match the two.

Check out the time increments at the bottom of the logged data as it plays back.

You should be able to tell how many times the o2 crosses the threshold(lean to rich) per second.

Post back and tell us how many times it does this as this may be the issue.

The o2 may be too slow to keep up with the change in throttle application/revs at this point.

I might be a good idea to take into account that the sampling rate is about 6/s. So at 3000 rpm (50 1/s) you are missing about 20 combustions per second. Counting O2 transitions seems not very reliable in that situation.

Gunter, Looking to see if the O2 sensor has been fouled by the oil.

Oil contamination of the sensor is listed by a manufacturer as a cause of sensor degradation and one of the signs is the slowing down of the sensor.

Not saying that a four wire is the answer to this problem.

Not sure exactly what you mean by that? Im looking at MegaLogViewer now, put RRM, O2 on the top graph, but dont understand what you mean by '02 crosses the threshold per second'

THEN YOU CAN VIEW THE CYCLE COUNTS.

IF YOU NEED MORE CYCLE COUNTS LET ME KNOW I CAN TELL YOU WHERE TO CHANGE THEM IN THE EPROM DATA WITH A SINGLE CODE. AS I RUN MINE AT 30. FACTORY SETTINGS ARE 20. ECMSPY CAN LOAD THIS BUT LIKE I SAID ITS IN THE EPROM HEX CODE. YOU MANUALLY ENTER.

ONCE EXCEL HAS OPENED THE LOGGED FILE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO FOLLOW TIME AND RPM. .

BUT AS GUNTER SAID ITS A CROSS COUNT MISSING SOME POINTS AT ALL TIMES. SO ITS IMPORTANT TO DO LOGS HOLDING ALL RPMS A WHILE. THEN LOGS WHERE YOU ARE NOT AT THAT RPM A WHILE WILL REQUIRE ADDITIONAL LOGS.
