It isn't easy getting access to all of the screws, or easy to get the rocker boxes out between frame tubes, but it can be done. It was tight and I had to grind down a couple tools but it still works (3000 mi. ago).   John_s Posted on Thursday, June 19, 2008 - 03:51 pm:        I have a 97 M2 and did it without dropping the engine. The shop manual still helps clarify certain procedures. I cut down the short side of some misc allen wrenches to get at the allen screws easier.   Torquemonster Posted on Thursday, June 19, 2008 - 05:25 pm:        I did my rocker box gaskets without dropping the engine (2000 M2). I trimmed up an allen wrench and took my time. Problem solved. -and definately pick up the shop manual.
