This is my first posting so please be kind. I have a 97 S3T that I started to work on myself. I put a factory race air cleaner on it but now have fuel coming out of the carb and all over my foot and leg. When I bought it I was told a stage 1 jet kit was installed but don't know how to tell. The float looks fine and the valve seat looks ok. Can I get some help from someone PLEASE?

Follow the gas line from the tank to the carb and focus in on where the tube enters the carb. Some have a plastic fitting there than can crack and leak.

Next step up in complexity is to remove the carb and give it a good cleaning and rebuild. Sometimes all you have to do is take it apart, clean out any junk and debris, then put it back together with maybe replacing a few gaskets.

Also, when you're not riding the bike be sure to turn the petcock to the off position. This might help, and can't really hurt so it's a good habit to be in anyway.

Start with the easy stuff, then go from there. Hope this helps.
