I've been trying to put XB wheels on my M2. I bought an XB front end. Had to have a new stem machined as it was a 1/2'' too long. Got that installed. Fits like a glove I ordered some XB wheels a week ago and got them today. I could not wait to get home to bolt them on! Heres were my dilemma starts. The front wheel bolted up beautifully since I have the XB trees, fork and axle. Its the rear wheel. The bearings in the rear wheel are larger then the stock M2's axle. So I'll need to replace the bearings in the rear wheel. I searched around on here and found out the XB bearings OD is 54 mm. I couldn't find any info on the M2 bearings ID. When I measure the M2's axle it seems to be around 1'' but with all those different size bearings out there I'm worried I'll buy the wrong size. Anyone know the correct size and where could I purchase these? I found some bearings for a tubers pm wheels but dont know if the PM's and the XB's share the same OD and ID. The thickness I'm concerned about as well. Anyone??

If I were you I would go with the XB bearings as is and have a sleeve made up for the axle which is a slight press fit.

This way you would be adding not taking from the engineered design.

I just had a miserable experience over getting a new neck stem machined. I really cant see less then 3/16 making a difference in design. I'm no engineer though.

Do you know the part # for a 99 M2 rear wheel bearing? It seems the less hassle of a route.

Thanks for the response.

I cant seem to find the size I need. Those charts confuse the hell outta me.

If I'm not mistaken I need a 25mm ID x 55MM OD. I dont see any. Man I'm retarded

Machine an insert and get it shrink fitted into the XB wheel using liquid Nitrogen. That way you could use the M2 wheel bearings?
