Does ANYBODY have a good EEPROM file for ECMSpy mono (current version) to born to my 2003 XB9S with a 2004 ECM "BUEGB"? If not can someone PLEASE assist me with converting somehow from older txt files on various sites to a format I can use with the Mono? My bike is running VERY rich and spitting, sputtering and popping.

Start with the basics.

An 03 XB9S with a stock exhaust has great fueling box stock from the factory.

Are you currently running the stock map, stock exhaust, and the stock inner airbox (either the closed one original to the 03, or an opened up one from later models, both should work fine with the stock maps)?

If the map is stock, and the exhaust is stock, then your problem is likely elsewhere, like a CPS sensor or a temp sensor or a TPS sensor or bad mass air sensor something else.

Known mods:

Jardine muffler,
2004 BUEGB,
K&N filter in stock 2003 airbox, but with the "tube between the airbox and the left side scoop removed through the frame.

Last night I found a copy of the "old" ECM Spy software (non-mono) and I was able to flash it back to a 2004 Stock EEPROM and Maps. The bike DOES seem to be running a lot better but there are definitely spots in this map that are either too rich or too flat.

I just bought this bike two weeks ago and from what I can tell, it has possibly been neglected for the past few years so I am starting from scratch on checking all systems. Don't get me wrong, it runs, but I know it is far from what it SHOULD be for tuning.

That sounds like progress. Nice to have it back to stock to eliminate some variables.

Did you do a "by the book" TPS reset also? That means changing the idle screw settings before hitting the button in ECM spy.

Can anyone with a Jardine on an XB9 comment on stock map fueling with the custom exhaust?

The TPS reset will be tomorrow AM and then a nice test ride.

TPS Reset done and still running a little rich. I am going to put a tank of race gas through it and see what happens.

Race gas and the TPS reset did the trick. This morning, I put the race map back into it and it is running much better. There is a little flat spot about 3000-4000 RPM in a moderately aggressive acceleration though. Anybody got any recommendations?
