I'm trying to set this thing up on my M2 and have problems getting it to snap securly. Not to mention the directions suck (caveman need pictures) so I have no idea if I even have it put on correctly. Anyone out there that can show me the way?

On a 2000 M2...

Yodude One

Yodude Two

Hope this helps. I thought their instructions were a hoot!

To snap mine, I have to reach around behind the post and squeeze on the flyscreen and the post holding the snaps... just like using a snap on a jacket or something. I can't just push from the front.

Thank you for the replies and the pics. By the looks of it I have everything put on correctly, it just won't close properly, even when I go behind it. On top of that I stripped the screw heads for the snaps on the right (throttle) side so I can't take them off if I wanted to. I guess I'm going to have to fool around with it some more. Oh yeah, the instructions were pretty funny, but I'm one of those not-to-mechanical folks that like pictures. Thanks again.

I installed it on my 2002 M2 and I have never really been able to get it to open/close easily. It serves the purpose of holding my glasses though. On a scale of 1-5 I would giv it a 3, deffinately just average.

I installed it on my S1 and it works great! I too have to squeeze the front and back at the same time to snap it shut. I also have to get out the pliers and re-shape the bar that holds the snaps every so often. I need to figure out a way to secure my tool pouch better though lately it has started sliding around a bit on the headlamp. I do love it though. The S1 has absolutely NO place to store anything so the flyscreen deal was a welcome addition! Well worth the 15 bucks or so..

Fuscat.. if you look at my picture above, you see a thick red velcro strap, which holds the pouch to the one of the cables that is routed right down there. Works great for me, you can get the straps at computer, electronics, or Lowes type stores.

Reepicheep-

Yea I saw that. I think that is what I am going to go for aswell. I will see if that will hold it. I added a few more tools to my pack this year so I think the extra weight is what made it start to shift around! Thanks for the tip! :)

Zomby, I never got it to work on my X1.....think I still have the kit lying around somewhere....if I find it, I can send you the extra hardware to replace your stripped pieces.

Thanks dad but I got them on OK, they just ain't coming off again for a while. After a couple beers, a band-aid, two new screws and some velcro I got this thing together and working decently. The major difference was switching out the screws that hold the snaps on the flyscreen to ones with flat heads that offer more clearance when you secure it. I put velcro on the top of the dash and the rubber bumper on the flyscreen to keep it from shaking loose. This product is a great idea and good to have but they could have sent out better parts in the first place.

I sent a nasty gram as well but haven't heard back from them yet. I've cooled off since I finally got it together, but the least they could do is send me some kind of reply. I was thinking about getting the breather manifold and puke pipe from them, but I'll be looking elsewhere.

Want to get some feedback on the Yodude flyscreen setup...

How good is it?

What are some of the issues with it?

How much room does this actually provide? Seems like a cell phone and wallet are about the size of it.

Finally, does the Yodude setup come with their own storage bag?

Thanks in advance!!!

-Ken.

Kenman, if you are really interested in one, I will see if I can dig up all the parts from my old X1. A bag is available from YoDude, I have that as well. Give me a few days.....

I have had no dealings with yodude or this "new" company but it appears they are now called trubenz. They show the flyscreen kit under Buell parts... http://www.trubendz.com/home.asp
