I had to wait a while at some railroads for trains. So I turned off my bike to save gas and keep it cool. Then when I went back to start it, it didnt start. I turned the key. Lights came on, guages swept, but when I went to turn the kill switch off nothing happened. I didnt even hear the fuel pump energizing. I checked the fuses, swapped around the relays and they all checked out fine. Do you guys know where else to look at?

Daman:

If the BATTERY is over "2 YEARS OLD", "i" would replace it and then start trouble shooting(a secret to MAX BATTERY LIFE performance is to be kept on a TRICKEL CHARGER when not RIDING !!!) ...

Start next with tightening screw/bolt connections ...

Then fuses ...

Then the WIGGLE TEST and if you can wiggle any of the wiring you should tie wrap any that you could wiggle ...

Then it becomes a BATTERY/GROUND search ...

By the way, everbody needs to know the YEAR/MODEL of your BUELL(found in PROFILE as a 04XB12R which makes your battery border line) !!!

Also that night I installed a power commander. Do you think that could have something to do with it. I would check the battery, but at the moment I cant get to the parts store and I dont have a voltmeter. I just went out and checked the bike over make sure I got all the symptoms. Right now the headlights dont turn on. The guages still sweep and those lights turn on and the led taillight lights up.

Always go back to the last change you made to the bike. Very frequently that's where you'll find the problem. Can you remove the PC? If not, at least check all the wiring you moved around.

I'll bet money that if you check the integrity of the connector pins for the power commander, you'll find one that is loose and/or pushed out of its receptacle. Exact same thing happened to a friend.

Thanks guys, but man I feel stupid now. It turns out all my relays went bad at the same time and I figured that since they all were doing the same thing that they were all ok. I replaced them and the bike started right up. Though it is kind of weird that all the relays would go out at the same time.
