Well I got a set of adjustable pushrod covers from Zippers. There was no paperwork and when I called Tech support, they said it should all just bolt back in.

My problem is this:

After removing the stock tubes and mounting plates which were 2 individual pieces held on by a bolt and a locating pin. The new mount is a thicker 1 piece billet job that has the 2 bolt holes, but no provision for the locating pins. The alignment is close, but they just don't line up all the way. What should I do, grind a small notch in the back of the mount, or remove the locating pins?

If I need to remove them, how do they come out? Or heck, could I just grind them down smooth with the top on the case?

Thanks!!

Figured it out. Just heated the case with the trusty ole propane torch, and grabbed the little suckers with vise grips, came right out!! Now I can put these cool looking collapsible tube covers on!!

Having some issues with my collapsible pushrod covers...took the bike out for the first spring ride today after putting new piston rings and new thunderstorm heads on this winter. Cruised around a bit and oil is coming out of the very front pushrod cover, and a decent amount. The others seem ok. I had modified 883 heads on there before, and no issues with oil leaking. How can I get the pushrod covers to fit better? It's making a mess right now. Oil all over the place.
