I did not tell anyone any thing... my number 2 boss went spastic about something that was past due (that he should have realized was past due about 8 months ago)I have been trying to get done for over a year... a few weeks (until it warms up a bit) would not matter... other than people having to freeze their azz off out in the cold now.

We still need the odometer thing... hopefully Sam will run with this at the meeting.

Did I tell you about falling at the range today, spraining my right wrist... cause suddenly # 2 boss wanted about 1/2 a day worth of stuff done in about 2 1/2 hours??

Let's set unrealistic goals... that I am expected to meet!!! So tomorrow I have about 1000+ pounds of equipment to load, set up, reload, set up Thursday, reload, and unload and store Thursday evening! With only one functional arm... and most likely no help!

I am really enjoying the throbbing wrist!!!

Tripper, It was mentioned to me that you might make the meeting, any truth to this?

Want a good laugh?

My #2 boss got spastic... I loaded a truck full of equipment by myself. We go to the range HE set up... they said "Gee, we thought you wanted to only inspect the range... you can't shoot here until we run it past the boss and get our range officer to supervise."

So... I am so happy I busted azz last night to get a bunch of new rifles test fired and sighted in (twice each rifle, fixed and optical sights), then in the process of doing this in all dressed up clothing and street shoes so I could fall and bang up my right arm trying to hurry and get it done without working all evening for free.

THEN... this morning load a pickup truck with steel target frames and a few hundred pounds of ammo and gear, bunch of rifles & shotguns... to turn around and come back to the office and unload a good part of it. Maybe this will work tomorrow???

I am laughing on the inside.

Blake would be so proud of me for not having a bunch of foul language on this thread!

Dennis, all those firearms and ammo and you can't correct this problem?

If the requisition for the ammo to shoot his goes across his desk do you think he would notice? would it release taxpayers liability if he signed off on it? I recommend the fourth or fifth page deep in a stack requiring signatures(by then even moderately retarded people are tired of reading)

Often when directed to take someone down to our range for qualification I am told...

"Dennis, take (insert coworker name) down to the range and shoot him since it is slow this afternoon."

My response is usually one of the following...

1. "Oooh, that is a tempting thought!"
2. "You might want to rephrase that!"
3. "Oh, can I... PLEASE!!!"
4. "Just because it is slow, it is not his fault!"
5. "If I really do that, there won't be any prosecution, right?"

After a full day of qualify co-workers on scheduled qualification days, management often has no clue who has shot.

I am often asked... "Who did you shoot today?" My response... "Well, I was real tempted a coupla times... but I suppressed the urge!"

Change #39875068.3

Since my #2 boss screwed up him trying to do my job... I do not have anyone to qualify, nor an outdoor range to use until Friday morning... so it is possible that I might make the BRAG meeting after all. If you see me there, I made it... if not... I am not at the meeting!

...and yes I was tempted a coupla times since yesterday... but suppressed the urge.

What a great meeting, and a great start. Way to go BRAG Officers!

You guys need to make the Hermann trip that was on the HOG calendar, or do your own. I can meet you there with a bunch of St Louis crazies, and I do mean crazies cause these guys never park their bikes as far as I can see.

I'm jealous cause I'll be in St Looey where there are no Buell dealers.

I'll HAVE to come back for the Dyno Day.
and the Buell Demo Day.
and the other good stuff that's in the works, but noone will talk about.

Well...

Thanks to everyone who was able to make the meeting. We had way more information than we had time. I think the following meetings will settle down to a shorter duration. I am sorry we did not have the time for "show and tell" on the CityX. We can maybe do that next month when we won't have new people to meet, which is why the meeting ran long. It was great to meet the staff that came to the meeting... and there seems to be sincere excitement about the Buell line at the dealership.

It was great that the dealership donated the Buell shirts to give away in the drawings held during the meeting.

A brief run down for those who missed the meeting.

The service manager talked a bit about the efforts they will be making to service Buells. Training for the staff, and setting up the suspension on XBs as part of delivery.

Dyno Mike talked about having a dyno event for Buells, and making an effort to focus on dyno tuning of Buells, something new to the dealership.

The sales manager talked about strongly supporting the Buell line, reaching out to get the bike you want from another dealer if they don't have the model and color in stock. Also about having the information a buyer wants when they ask about the Buell models.

HE ASKED ME TO PROVIDE NAMES AND TELEPHONE NUMBERS OF PERSONS THAT A POTENTIAL NEW BUELL BUYER CAN CALL TO TALK TO SOMEONE WHO OWNS ONE. WHO KNOWS BETTER HOW SPECIAL THE MACHINE IS THAN SOMEONE WHO OWNS ONE. IF YOU WANT TO BE ON THAT LIST, EMAIL ME WITH A NAME AND TELEPHONE NUMBER. I'D LIKE TO TAKE THIS TO THE DEALERSHIP SATURDAY.

We voted to make a $100.00 donation through the Badweb to support Buell racing, as discussed in another thread.

We will have a 50/50 drawing at each meeting. One dollar per ticket. The one who is lucky and their ticket is drawn, gets half of the money from the ticket sales at the meeting, the other half goes to the club.

After each monthly meetings we will be having a "go ride and do something" ride. Weather permitting.

We are planning a group photo which we can use to submit to the Fuell magazine. We are waiting for some work to be finished at the entrance of the dealership, a good warm day when we can get as many Buellers as possible, and coordination of a lift to take the photo looking down at the members.

We are going to revive the plan to have a KC Mob club t-shirt designed. I hope to have more on this at the next meeting.

We are going to have a mileage rewards program with prizes available for the mileage Buelled this year. Everyone will have a chance at some type of award, it is not just who rode the most miles. We are working out details on this yet... but I hope everyone participates. All you need to do is be a member, and submit your current mileage as soon as possible. DON"T WAIT!!! You can email your name and mileage to DasBuell@aol.com. For details contact Sam or me.

We are planning to do a Arkansas trip and a trip to Sturgis, plus some cool day trips too. Anyone can plan a day trip. Contact a club officer with your ride and we will put it on the calendar.

That was the high points of the meeting... this year looks like a great year to come for all us Buelligans

October 15 - Octoberfest Ride To Hermann, MO

This is a H.O.G. ride, but the BRAG club may want to schedule a ride the same day with a departure 15 minutes earlier than the HOG club. That way you are not bound by their ride rules, riding 5 under the posted, and when you hit the twisties you can rip.

They have a VERY full calander with some cool destinations.

Dennis, Are you planning on having monthly updates to the mileage rewards program. A chart each month showing who's in the lead would be cool. Have everyone that wants to email in mileage before the meeting and have an updated chart for the meeting. I would be willing to keep the chart up to date.

The Orange Crush is still in the paint booth at the moment with two coats on. I think maybe one or more coats then some wet sanding, and clear will wrap up the Orange Crush project. I think Tim was talking with Jeff and he informed Tim that his paint guy could finish it up for us, I.E. race stripes yada yada. Work and school is keeping us from finishing it this week. In the near future for sure.

Well what kind of Bueller are you Tim? You didn't even notice that I had all the plastic off your bike. Joey noticed right away and said dada broken when he saw it. Don't worry if everything turns out ok, you should be plesantly surprised hopefully. All I can say is you know what 1982 goldwings look like? Yours will be Bright bright orange. Crush baby.
