I was switched to the Blue group by Denno when I mentioned I was in the Red group when I signed up at the begining of the season.. Yellow group was getting full so I opted for Blue.

This will be the first time my bike hits the track. Bike is at the shop now getting forks Re-Done & Woodcraft Clip-ons, Spool Sliders, Case Covers, and Rear Sets.

You should put my Buell forks on your bike,(*cough* for sale *cough*) see what a real front suspension feels like. Once you do you will never go back to stock.

Livnlo, you sure your stator is shot? It is a common issue on the older XB's that the connector to the voltage regulator will make poor contact, then the arching will melt the connector. You might just be able to repair or replace the connector and be golden again.

Froggy I put a brand new regulator on and still not charging fritz put the sator in like only 500 miles or so ago so not sure tryin to get fixed for hhr

Check that connector that Froggy is talking about. If I recall, yours had previous damage when we installed the new stator.

The new stator does not come with the plastic connector(another great buell/hd idea), so you have to transfer it over from the old stator.

I've seen posts about guys bypassing the connector or replacing it with a different style one. Maybe Froggy can find the thread on it. He's real good like that.

Yea usually we just snip the connector and splice the wires and be done with it. Buell came out with a revised connector about a year ago that doesn't have the connectivity issues like the older one. There is a $20 kit available to convert to the new connector but it requires a special crimper, and if you are going through that effort anyway you are best off just splicing. I will dig up some old threads for you
