Sorry to say all but after a long time in the shop and after getting the bike back...the clutch and trans is still not fixed. Now after getting it back from the shop it will not enter neutral at increasing intervals. When this happens I notice that the shifter lever feels 'heavier' and tougher. At other times the shifter feels normal and releases into neutral normally. I guess this means I'll have to bring it back to Illinois Harley to be repaired again.

This is my first ever look at the 1125CR and I like it a lot. That's a really cool bike, wish I could pick one up myself or at least test ride one. |

All,
The next meeting I believe it will be September 4th, we should definately do the final workouts of our plans for group ride(s) to MotoGP. I know we are close to definate plans right now so there shouldn't be to much more to iron out. I will probally have one of my long time friends riding out with us as well as staying with my dad and I so there is another bike with us. I am really looking forward to this it should be a lot of fun. I'm also looking forward to a good September meeting as well. Talk to everyone later

Due to change of work schedules, could I catch up with Wisconsin Wackiness crowd on Saturday October 4th? I will be in MI Friday and will not be able meet the crew on that night. On the other hand, I will be available for the Slimey Crud run on Sunday.

Hello Racers!,
I finally have information on two events at Chicago Indoor Racing's Buffalo Grove location that we should look consider. I'd like at the coming meeting on Thursday to discuss these options and see if we could get a group together.
The Chicago Car/Motorcycle Club Invitational; We need a team of 3-6 drivers to race against other teams comprised of local car club members. There is a 20 minute qualifying session followed by the 300 lap final race which requires 5 driver swaps and a fuel stop.
On the lighter side we (Windy City Club) can host its own group event of which we need 8 to 10 drivers. The price for that event is 80.00 per person that includes three qualifying rounds followed by the final race between all of us. If under ten drivers all of us will race no matter what, over 10 drivers only the drivers that qualified fast enough during the qualifying race will be able to race in the final. This group event we can schedule at any time, the Car Club Invitational is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 28th.
Something to think about, we could potentially arrange rides to these events to represent Buell and our club.

Since we're having this big group ride to Indy, do you guys think it would be a good idea to pull out that old video on proper group riding?
Some guys may be new to the larger group rides. We may want to think about choosing road captains and sweeps, etc. Also, has anyone figured out the route after we all meet up just in case we get split up?

Regarding MotoGP,
I think having dedicated road captains and re-aquainting riders without experiance in large groups (like myself) would be a good idea or at least something to be discussed at the meeting on Thursday.
