1313, did you ever get the mirror hole plugs for your new bike? I found two new extra plugs in the shed yesterday. If you want them, pm your address.

Finally got the sheetrock installed on the bike sheds ceiling, with help from Pat and the boys. Glad the hard part is over with! Looks pretty good. Can't wait to patch the seams, paint and mount the light fixture.

Do you know anything about this: "Product Notice: 0501: PRD PGM: FIREBOLT HEADLIGHTS"

All I know is one must have a title showing that they own a Firebolt. I'm S.O.L. with my XT-BOLT unless someone who doesn't need the headlights can provide a title so I can get mine replaced. I'm sure there are ways to get a Firebolt title without actually having to buy a Firebolt, but I'm at a standstill right now. Somehow, something will have to materialize (I hope). At least I haven't noticed any diminished performance of the headlights yet. Hell, I even went down the AA highway in the dark coming home. The only thing that sucked is when I saw oncoming headlights I had to slow down as you can't tell if they are cops after dark...

Twig,
Thanks for the offer, but I did manage to get some @ Shelton's. It was probably the cheapest I ever walked out of a H-D dealership...

I think I'll eventually see Buells being sold at my local BMW/Ducati/MV/Triumph dealer.... or Harley will use MV as their sport bike line and Buell will buy itself back and make a go of it.

Hi ya'll. My pop passed away today. He just turned 90 yesterday. The family had plans for a birthday bash next weekend, with a private memorial planned in the morning for my sister Suki who died May 8...sigh.
I've attended a double wedding, but two funerals in one day is stretching the limit.
Mike needs to take me for a ride.

Patty - I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. At 90, I'm sure he had seen a lot in his day and could tell you lots of stories. We have company this weekend and next, but Carlos will be cutting mountain grass the weekend of the 25th. Maybe you and Twig can sneak away again that weekend. Please let us know if we can do anything for you beside pray for healing and God's blessings.

Patty sorry for your loss.

Tiffany got her mc endorsement today and we rode 50 miles this afternoon, out here in the country. She did so well I let her ride the buell the last 10 miles after we gassed up.When we got home she had a grin that ajax wouldnt take off!! On a side note while takeing the gs to get inspected while stopped at the crossroads. A XBS went by black with no pass pegs and a non stock exaust. I waved and had never seen it before. My luck see a Buell and not rideing mine.

Pabst - I am sorry for your family's loss. The worst part of someone passing is those left behind. You have had a tough year of ups and downs. I had such a year when my father passed two months before Kristi and I were married. Time does ease the pain and I focus on the good times we had. My father and I had a love of cars we shared. We watched the Indy 500 and Daytona 500 on TV together back in a time when those were the only races televised. Having such a year also consolidated a lot so we have more good years than bad. One thing my buddies did for me after the funeral was to take me out and help me move on. So do as Twig says and lay out the gear and go for a ride. Remember the good times you have had with those passed and remember it's not goodbye, it's just until then.

Hi Pabst, It sounds as if it has been a tough time. Always puts things in perspective when you hear of the things in other peoples lives. I don't come on Badweb very often as I miss my Bolt very Badly, but I wanted to respond to my friends here and I figured I would give my condolences. Get out and ride, that was always my best medicine when things were hard. I always believed the best anti-depressant has two wheels an a full tank of gas. Go Ride, it's the best medicine, believe that from someone who has needed that medicine a lot.

To everyone of my friends in C3- I miss you all and I miss my bike too(see above). Thanks for all of your support and encouragement. I am doing ok, just extremely frustrated that the court system is as bad as it is. Seems enough money and the rules don't apply to you, then I am Male and it seems that I am automatically guilty, no proof needed. Even with proof that I am a decent father, it has to be given by an attorney whom cost $2000 minimum to retain or that proof does not count. So, you can understand my frustration. And on top of all that I don't have the medicine mentioned above. Seems the group is growing and seems to have a lot of really nice guys and gals joining up. I am glad you are all doing well and take care. Ride safe. Larry

I'm heading to Minnesota the week after next, so today I devoted to getting the bike ready. New tires, new belt, new fluids, new battery. I mentioned that I wanted to do this with enough time to shake out any problems. The one response I get was "what could go wrong." Don't ever ask that.

1 - The battery wasn't supposed to be bad. Some of you may remember me thinking the batter was bad this past winter. I had it check it and it was good. Or so I was told. I was suspicious enough that I put a new on in it today anyway. It sure starts a LOT easier now.

2 - As I was changing the tire, I noticed a drop of oil in the floor. It took me a second to find it. O ring on the drain plug was ground down to about a G ring

3 - My transmission inspection cover had oil on the front of it. I didn't really think much about it. One of the the screws was loose when I went to change the trans oil. On closer inspection the threads for the screw in the primary cover came out with the screw, so it stripped a while ago. That would explain the new noise my transmission started making. Guess it doesn't like being low on oil. Anyway, I have to helicoil that hole. I discovered this after Advance Auto closed, so I guess that's tomorrows project.

I'm sure glad I didn't take off on a 3,000 mile trip with a transmission that slowly weeps it oil out. Or a marginal battery, or swinging with a non-sealing o ring. Hopefully I found everything.

You ask his wife (the HBIC...head B!tch in Charge)!! If you post here, you are part of ! C3 has really grown in the past few years, all because of BadWeB. Looking forward to you getting home and riding to Fish Camp for lunch and I'm sure the mountain grass will need cutting again in September.

Past the farms and fields of corn
Early on this Sunday morn
A-motorcycling go my husband and I.

Looking through the curves ahead
With the wind on my face my soul is fed
As the pavement goes hurtling by.

We pass other riders on the street
a hand goes out to mutually greet;
The motorcyclist's silent "Hi".

The woods smell good and the sun is warm
As we return home on this Sunday morn
And my grin is as wide as the sky.

Thanks Twig
