I am glad you got in some good riding! I am a big wuss when it comes to riding on wet pavement, so I didn't go anywhere on Satruday.
Kristi (of the C3 group) submitted the Buelltoberfest info to the Buell website for them to post it. Hopefully that is the only involvement they will have in it. They started the Buelltoberfest solely so there would not be demo rides invovled, so we could all focus on riding and not doing the demo support. I enjoy doing the demo support, but would like to spend a weekend up there just riding with friends.
I was toying with the idea of heading over there one weekend. Maybe leave early on Saturday with a tent/sleeping bag strapped to the bike. Ride all day satruday, then sleep, and return Sunday. If you are interested, I will let you know when I can do it.
Once I figure it out, I was going to let the 3%ers know as well. |

Bummer about the rain fellas...
It's still a cool weekend. Did the weather stop all the demo rides on Saturday? Did the 1125R see any pavement?

Yes, the demo rides were cancelled on Saturday. But they did do them on Sunday.
It was a small turnout for the Sunday demos.
The 1125r seemed pretty popular, along with the XT. I think the XT is a shorter, road only version of the Uly. Neat looking bike, and seemed to get a lot of attention as well. |

Well there's a soldier coming home from Iraq who is very interested my uly...
Would love to keep it in the family, but would be just as proud if it went to another soldier...

Hopefully that is the only involvement they will have in it.
This is strictly an owners event. There is no involvement or sponsorship from anyone. It truly started with C3 and the 3%er's getting together to ride and hang out since MB is so busy and most of the 3%er's working all weekend.
Needless to say, it outgrew our two groups the first time out! We really had a great time last year and are looking forward to this year.

Hey, Was wondering if any of the buell guys or gals in the montgomery area are on the site. I just saw a new X or XT on my way to work. I know of three others on lightings just wondering if any are on here. If your in montgomery area lets hook up for a ride. Seems to be more coming into the area.

Well, Berta has a new home...SSG Rust, US Army, picked her up yesterday on his way from FT Riley to FT Bliss...Prattville,AL was a bit out of his way, but he was grinnin' ear to ear after the test ride so all is well...
This doesn't mean I won't continue to lurk on this page...and post unimportant stuff now and again...Russ, you just aren't that luck  |

Okay...so here goes...promised pics of Norway. These are all a few months old...from Easter and earlier...but some good shots of the mountains and weather here in the winter. Pics include me, Heidi, and Cam in various outdoor winter activities...notice no motorcycle
I will post some spring/summer pics when I get them on my computer...
Last two are from the patio at the cabin we stayed at over Easter weekend...it was nothing short of awesome up there! |

Welcome to the madness Chris!
As you can probably tell, there isn't a lot of action on this page.
How long have you had your Buell?
I ride with a local group of sport bike riders called the Tennessee Valley Sport Bike Club. There is a standing meet every sunday at 10am for a ride. We meet at the Sonic at 72 and Jordan Ln.
There are also some folks who hit the road earlier to beat the heat, and some who ride on Saturdays due to other obligations on Sunday.
You are more than welcome to join us any time. there are all levels of riders, some fast, some slower, some fast as hell. But we all make sure that all are accounted for during the ride.
It would be nice to have another buell to ride with!
It has been tough getting the other local buell riders together due to work schedules and whatnot.
Also, there are a few events in the future to consider;
In October, there is Buelltoberfest. I think it is the first weekend in October. It happens in Suches, GA (My old stomping grounds, sort of). Some of the best roads in the southeast for Buells, and pretty much the best bunch of folks you could hang out with.
Then in March, there is March Badness. This usually occurs the last weekend of March. In Suches, GA again. This is a large event including demo rides put on by Stone Mountain HD/Buell. There is usually a Buell big-wig in attendance. Erik Buell was there for the second event. This next event will the the 6th Annual event.
I have been to March Badness 3 times, and it is more fun than should really be allowed. It rained all weekend this past one, but I still had a good time.
Just a couple things to put on the calendar for future reference.

Thanks for the info. I have been riding my buell for a little over a year. I have a white XB9R. I love the bike. Myself my dad and guy that works with me at the fire station went to deals gap on sunday and had a great time. I would like to ride with some more buells with my dad in texas now. |

All this talk of riding motorcycles...makes me sad. I miss riding.
Enjoying some good weather here now and I do have my mountain bike and road bike...not the same but not too bad. |

Hey Scott!
I gotta say, riding right now is painful... it is friggen HOT! It is supposed to be 101 today.. it was in the mid/high 90s yesterday. I went out early, and by the time I got home, I was boiling.

I'll have to see what is going on these next two weekends. This week my wife is having sinus surgery, and next week we have an adoption hearing set up for our foster child, and a party set up for Saturday.
I should be able to get out one of those Sundays for a ride. |
