Looking to wear out my stock tires this winter. Is late Jan. too early to load up the truck and head down to the Hill Country and Ride? I was riding every week up here in Nebr., but I think this last storm will give me withdrawls.....

Gus:

We can get nice weather in January, but we can't depend on it. If you can watch the forecast and be spontaneous with your travel, you might get lucky.

Gus, Roadthing is correct. For instance, in Austin, it was 79 degrees on Tuesday and then never broke about 40 on Wednesday. Today it is raining in the mid 40's. By the weekend it is supposed to be sunny in the 70's again.

I can usually be spontaneous within a week. I think I look towards the end of the month (my birthday also) and watch the weather. I'll have to see if I can get my wife's wide glide and my Buell in the back of my truck though.
Thanx for the responses! and enjoy those 70's!!!

You didn't leave the snow for a warmer climate did you? Where can I find more info on that? The 24th of Jan. is a Monday isn't it? Stopped in to the Waterloo store on my way home from Chicago before Christmas. Looks good there. Picked up a Buell shirt. Pretty neat display they have for the Buell, leaned all the way over like that.
I was always going to email you,do you have any Buell T'shirts up your way?

Nope, still in the frozen tundra of WI.
Go to the storm fronts and click on the Dallas/Fort Worth thread. Details on the get together are there.
I'm going to be down there for the winter dealer meeting.
I have no t shirts(still) but by spring I will have some if I have to make them myself!

Did you talk to Craig when you were in Waterloo?

Gus,
Next week is supposed to be very nice until Wednesday with just a little rain (supposedly). Our weather guys have been pretty accurate here lately. If you head down this way, let me know. I am pretty familiar with the Hill Country.

Deuceman, Thanx! I'm pretty sure it'll be towards the end of the month though.. trying to work it out so my wife can come.
Daves only talked to the girls wrapping gifts. Bought my wife some things. The place was dead. Not many people shopping/working that day.

I can meet on the weekends. I will be working all week, but I would love to meet new Buellers. My bike is in the shop right now getting the fuel pump replaced. Luckily it is still under warranty. Anyway, hope to have it by the end of the month if not sooner. Dealer says the parts are on order right now.

Well based on paychecks, the wifes' schedule it looks like the last week in Jan. will be the earliest. Providing the weather is good we'll be heading down there (somewhere)on the 27th. Maybe we'll hook up when I'm down that way!
Daves I hope you have great weather down there and 'give em hell for the Buellers!'
