Someone tried stealing my bike last night screwing up the key hole. I snipped the wires coming out of the bottom being I am going to have to replace it anyways. But can not seem to get it fired up to where I can ride it up to the harley shop for replacement. I have touched the wires together in different orders and the fan and lights etc. come on but when I hit the starter switch everything turns off and no fire. Please help if at all possible.

If anyone indeed knows how to do this I think it would be wise to tell you off the board.

Your service manual should have a wiring diagram of some sort that may or may not be of any help.

Just sold my Mustang, looking for a truck if your wondering why. Anyways, my e-mail add. is tlhinson13@yahoo.com cell phone 832-687-5301

By the way, thanks guys, that would not be such a great idea...

Your dealer should be able to come out and pick up the bike and bring it to the shop. Probably for free. I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that the bikes aren't supposed to be able to be started when wires to the ignition switch are cut or otherwise seriously tampered with. Mike.

If the wires are connected in the proper fashion it will still start and run. However, without a wiring diagram in front of me I don't have a clue as to what order that is.

Your local dealer may or may not have a means of picking the bike up. Many dealers do not provide that service, free or otherwise, but yours might. Just call and ask.
