Making this post to see what people recommend for an aftermarket replacement grip. I bought my bike with the Traction grips already installed on them. Unfortunately for reasons I don't understand, they started getting really sticky, almost melting, near the ends.I really like like the feel and diameter of these grips, but it seems they can't be found online anymore (unless someone has some to sell).

What does the forum recommend I look at? I need something that will support bar end mirrors.

I prefer the Renthal grips that I use, but they are a little thinner.

The rubber is decomposing over the time. I would think about aluminum grips. I replaced the shift pedal on my motorcycle on aluminum pedal with no rubber because of original pedal rubber piece was trashed.

Yea...aluminum grips...smart.
Hot in the summer, slippery when wet/humid/most any time.

NOT on my bikes.

Cirwin -
Just do what everyone else does, search the net, find what "looks" good to you, buy them.
They don't last for ever, if you don't like them, buy a different model next time.
If you don't like them at all, try again, they really aren't that expensive..!
It's not rocket science.

Aluminum grips are expensive and last forever. They won't slip because of you will ride in gloves and full gear.

I haven't tried these on my Buell, but I've had good results with TechSpec products on past bikes, and they still make pre-cut grips for our bikes: https://techspec-usa.com/products/gripster-tank-gr ips/buell.html

I also like StompGrip, but you'd have to cut your own from their universal sheets.

I use these: Progrip 714's. The shape is very close to the Buell grips but the rubber is softer.

~$15 at Amazon and many other retailers.
