The consensus seems to be that the Buell Traction grips were a real upgrade over the stock grips. But, they are now unobtanium. What is the best alternative that is currently available? Most of the threads about grips on the site are quite old, so I am hoping to get a newer take on the subject.

Thanks

Randy

Personally, I have the Buell/HD heated grips. Had to do a little wiring to make them work with a 2004 since they didn't come with the accessory plug like the later years.

These have a similar shape, are softer for more vibration control. Good grip in dry and wet.

The only bad is that they are so soft, they only last about a year+ of daily driving. In just a coupla months the diamond pattern is mostly gone where the palm rests.
Otherwise, I like'em.

Thanks Mike and everyone else for your input.

The Renegade grips look like the ticket for me. I don't mind wearing them out, will treat as a badge of honor to see how many worn out ones I can create!

Cheers

Randy
