So My 2009 XB12 currently has a Magnaflow 1 into 2 muffler on it with a cracked inlet pipe (most likely from a lack of a front mounting point). I was going to weld up my own front mount for it but then was thinking I should just buy a proper exhaust. I read that exhaust shootout pdf, but the Dean Adams is not on that list, the closest design is the D&D from what I can see, since they both have a one inlet and dual muffler outlet design. Has anyone done a dyno run with the dean adams with the usual open airbox and proper tune? I personally like the look of the Dean Adams better, but from that pdf the Drummer SS seems to make the most HP (but the D&D makes the most torque). Based on their two websites, Drummer says to run the race ecm (which seems expensive IF you can find one) whereas Dean Adams offers programming for $200. Watching the youtube video comparison by BuellMachine, apparently the Dean Adams has better ground clearance but the Drummer had a smoother powerband, both weight the same and are the same noise level. So what do you guys think? How long does each last before repacking? Which one would you choose? | ||

I have (2) XB9Rs, the 2003 with the race kit including exhaust and a 2005 with stock. Did a TON of research before settling on an exhaust from Dean. It's at the powder oater with a 2009 XB12 header to be ceramic coated. I bought it to swap out the factory Buell race exhaust, and if I like it as much as I think I will, I'm going to get one for the 2005 as well. Dean is a great guy, builds a great product, and is VERY knowledgeable on these bikes. I am happy to share me thoughts in a week or so when I get everything mounted up, even though it's only an XB9. | ||
