Order it. Why not? Either way you end up paying for shipping. Cheaper to only pay one shipping leg (Trojan to you) instead of two (Trojan to dealer to you). : )

Actually a lot of times a dealer will order a number of parts & the shipping charges can then be spread out amongst them & its cheaper overall.

I know when I ordered my fender from germany the shipping was actually more than the fender cost. I could have gotten it from a local distributor for about $30 less but they were waiting to place a big order & I wouldnt have gotten my fender for a couple months. I wasnt willing to wait.

Well the $ is poor again. $1.80 to the £.

I get a great benefit when buying from the US, compared to a couple of years ago.

Fabulous looking seat unit Trojan.

Besides the cost, check out the shipping. It's beyond reasonable.

Hi Guys,
Approximate costs in US$ for the Eurofighter are:

Standard height - US$390 less 10% discount = $350
Jacked up: US$430 less 10% discount = US$387

Shipping is based on either volume or weight, (whichever they can get away with charging more for!), but is approximately US$95 each. If we sent 2 or more together it would bring the shipping cost per item down.
Believe it or not, that seat is much more comfortable than it might seem, as the base is shaped nicely to start with. The seat foam is included of course.

If you want your bike to look even more extreme, how about adding one of these to the seat......

This is so new we don't have a price yet, as this one was made for our 'FX' project bike. The louvre vents are functional. As it is hand made and polished from aluminium expect to have to sell at least one kidney: )

Hi,

we use this seat also on our last projectbike. After more than 1000 miles riding it personally, I would say not the new Touring alternative, but very okay for a painless 2-or 300 miles per day ride.

Xbolt12...Check with DaveS at Appleton HD/BMC. I believe that is the pipe he was testing on his Demo Bike at a recent track day.

Different outlet shape Bill. The pipe on Daves bike has oval outlet.

Dana, you arent really considering that tailsection are you??

Looks like the same pipe, different version.
Hopefully they will have the "Dave" version done soon so I can do some more testing.
It's going to be louder, better chin fairing mounts, better inlet curve/collector section, shorter outlets so they don't drag on the track and better quality welds.

The new pipe should still give the nice fat midrange but have more at the top end too.
We will see.

Dave
